The 'thaw' is a word describing the melting of a solid, a transition from one state to another. This is the concept.
Each artist brings a different perspective offering completely original landscapes to explore. Whether the viewer sees the products of the exhibition as a commodity or a vehicle of thought, the reality at the end surpaces the usual transaction.
By making the art help people who do not have a peaceful environment to create their dreams on, we can only try to help them pick up the pieces. Maybe with art we can raise some awareness and melt some of the hatred in the World using ideas instead of natural resources.
This exhibition will raise money for kids in iraq who have been put through two wars.
The charity is MAIC ( Medical Aid for Iraqi Children ) an organisation that buy and deliver medical equipment to Iraqi hospitals. http://www.maic.org.uk/
Every year the show will go on at the same time as the Frieze art fair and will be exhibiting new and established artists that are creating their own path through the art world and the urban environment.

Thanks all who came and supported this event.  We have raised 1995 pounds so far.
